Frequently asked questions

What is Recognition of Prior Learning?

RPL assesses the skills and knowledge you already have from work, study or life experience against the requirements of a qualification.

Do I need to attend classes?

Usually not. Most of the process is based on the evidence you provide about your experience.

What evidence will I need?

Typically a résumé, references, photos or samples of your work, payslips or job descriptions. We will tell you exactly what suits your qualification.

How long does it take?

It depends on your qualification and how quickly you can gather evidence. We will give you an estimate when you enquire.

Do you help with builder licensing too?

Yes. We help with WA builder registration, mutual recognition between states and company licensing. See our builder licensing page for detail.

Will I definitely get the qualification?

Assessment decisions depend on your evidence meeting the standard. We will give you an honest view of your chances up front.
